Anubis5 or Stephen Christopher Moss
When did you get into hip hop?
I started making hip hop music at age 15. I was trying to impress the girls in my tenth grade science class through my wit and artistic expression. The original girl I was chasing at the time ended up becoming a feature stripper at The Sundowner in Niagara Falls.
Who are your influences?
My influences range from different genres of music and different kinds of theatrics or art. We'll stick with music for this. I love playing psychadelic rock records on my portable turntable at home but as far as hip hop wise I'd have to say I love Edan, EL-Producto, RJD2 and my Canadian superstar rap friends! I also have a strong respect for anyone making very, very original music. It's all about creating and inventing to me
What are your thoughts on the London hip hop scene? Ever lived anywhere else? What was it like there?
I still consider myself kind of new so I really haven't done a nosedive into the London scene.
Any story behind you name?
There is a story behind my name but it's top secret. I can tell you there is a five at the end and as we all know, five is half of te

Is there an album in the works?
I have a few things going on. I have most of my solo project The Dove In The Rosebush completed so hopefully I can get that pressed in the near future. I'm supposed to be working on an Transformers themed album with Conspiracy from Supreme Being Unit and an album with my roommate Cancer that will simply be called Cancer kills & so does Anubis5. It may sound like I'm really busy but I'm a procrastinator.
Who's your favorite artist outside of hip hop?
Who's your favorite london act, besides yourself?
I love Thesis Sahib and my e-homey Selfhelp. Selfhelp is for the children!

I would like to add that my squeeze Allison is a fox. My girlfriend's mom is a wonderful cook. I live four buildings down from Crabby Joe's. I love London's bar scene. I wear clothes that fit.
Whats your favourite breakfast cereal?
I don't eat breakfast cereal. I eat vending machine sandwiches.
